Kerry Perry To All Instructors
I am a Christian wife, mother (to 6 young men and 2 daughter-in-loves), soon to be KiKi (to my first grandson), and homeschool momma for over 12 years. I love the Lord, my family and friends, and all things farming/garden/kitchen. I grew up in New Jersey and moved to Virginia to get a degree at George Mason University in International Studies and Foreign Policy (with additional heavy study in Art History). I met my wonderful husband (of 30 years!) at GMU and we were married shortly after graduation. After my first son was born and I had worked for nearly 10 years in D.C., we moved to the beautiful countryside in Loudoun County. God called me to start homeschooling in 2013. Since that time our family has had many adventures. We started a small farm with chickens, goats, pigs, and rabbits. One of our favorite things to do together is take trips to new cities and learn the history in and around those places. Our family has a passion for mission work in many forms and we have taken multiple trips to Haiti and Bolivia. I am so thankful that God called our family to homeschool and will treasure the sweet memories and the everlasting bonds this experience has created. There are too many Bible verses that I simply love - therefore, I cannot choose a single verse that is my favorite. However, one Bible verse has stuck in my head and heart since the first months after I became a Christian. It is: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, Colossians 3.23. I am humbled and excited to have the opportunity to share in the Christ-centered educational experience and spiritual development of your kiddos through the classes at Plumbline Schoolhouse!
